Marney Malik

Grants Committee

Marney and her husband Shah moved to Sonoma in 2016 to be closer to their two daughters and twin grandkids, who also all live in Sonoma. After living in the Vancouver WA for over 40 years, they found a vibrant, interesting, welcoming, and engaging community in Sonoma, and much better weather! They feel to very fortunate to live here. Marney is an avid gardener, enjoys reading and jig saw puzzles, and hopes that when her time comes to die it will be in her garden with dirty fingernails.

Marney’s nonprofit work includes having served as Treasurer of Easter Seals Oregon, Teen Services Sonoma (now Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley Teen Services), Impact100 Sonoma, and currently Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley.  She served on the merger team which brought Teen Services and Boys and Girls Club together.  Marney and Shah also mentored a student from 4th grade until college through an NPO in Portland Oregon called Marathon Education Partners.

Marney grew up in Eugene Oregon. She is one of the founders of and spent her entire career building what became an international, manufacturing, and transportation solutions company. As an NEO, her primary areas of expertise were financial, risk management, and mergers and acquisitions.
