Sonoma Valley Star Volunteer Awards

The Star Awards honor “Star Volunteers” of nonprofits who serve Sonoma Valley.

The founder of the event, Whitney Evans, said Volunteerism is at the heart of what makes Sonoma Valley such a wonderful place to live.

The Star Volunteer Awards is a chance for non-profits that serve Sonoma Valley to recognize a volunteer who has made a significant contribution to their organization and the Valley. 

The 2025 event will be held on Saturday, May 3, 3:00-5:00 pm, at Vintage House in the City of Sonoma.

At the awards ceremony each participating non-profit organization presents their Star Volunteer with a trophy provided by Catalyst Fund. The Sonoma Valley Star Volunteer Awards are held annually in the Spring.

To participate, your organization must be able to say YES to all of the following

  1. Organization is a 501(c)3 OR 501(c)6 registered non-profit

  2. Organization is not political or religious

  3. The nominated volunteer served Sonoma Valley and/or its residents. Sonoma Valley is the area between Schellville and Kenwood.

  4. Nominated volunteer was not compensated in any way for their service
