Kimberly Blattner
Development Committee

Kimberly was raised in Oregon and came to California in 1967 to attend Stanford University where she received a B.A. in Political Science and was the captain of the women’s varsity swimming team. She received an M.A. and elementary and secondary teaching credentials from UC Davis and taught high school from 1976-1990.

Kimberly has lived in Sonoma Valley since 1982 and taught at Sonoma Valley High School where she was the chair of the English Department from 1988-90. She lives in the city of Sonoma together with husband Simon and dog Bodhi.

Kimberly currently serves on the boards of La Luz Center, Valley of the Moon Music Festival, and Sonoma Valley Collaborative. She is one of the founding members of Impact100 Sonoma, an organization of women committed to making a significant impact in their community.

Kimberly has previously served on the boards of Presidio Hill School, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, SFMOMA Docent Council, League of Women Voters of Sonoma County, Enterprise for High School Students, City of Sonoma’s Community Services and Environment Commission, and the Sonoma Valley Fund.

Simon and Kimberly were named the City of Sonoma's Alcalde & Alcaldessa of 2020 and 2021.
