Supporting Small Businesses Thru COVID-19
Organization: Sonoma Valley Rotary Foundation
Provided two matching grants to Sonoma Valley Rotary Foundation to support a business assistance program to aid local businesses in meeting their COVID-related challenges and keep people employed. Rotary will provide small grants, and offer a wide range of business consulting expertise for free. Catalyst’s grant will be 100 percent matched by Rotary, creating a pool of $200,000.

Update: As of March 11th, Rotary made 212 grants totaling $157,000 and are providing mentoring to many of the grantees. Five more were in the pipeline for this week.
The Esperanza Fund / The Hope Fund
This initiative provides essential financial support to COVID+ low income families to quarantine through a collaboration led by the Sonoma Valley Community Health Center (SVCHC) and Sonoma Immigrant Services (SIS). SIS's bi-lingual intake worker will receive referrals from SVCHC and other local partners of newly tested positive individuals and distribute funds immediately to enable the patients and their family to quarantine.

Update: SIS's bi-lingual intake worker has received over 40 referrals from SVCHC and other local partners. They have distributed $11,000 to over 28 newly COVID+ families as of March 12th.
